If you have never experienced Rainy Lake in March you need to put it on your bucket list.  As the days get longer and warmer there is much to see and do on Rainy.   For fishing enthusiasts the walleye season doesn't end till mid-April and pike never close on this Minnesota/Ontario border lake.  Pre-spawn fish get easy to catch and many times you can fish from a lawn chair with not much more than a sweater.  Cross-country skiing/skating is a blast!  Most if not all of March you can still access the lake with vehicles, snowmobiles and wheelers.

Wildlife start showing themselves too.  Eagles, otters, mink, deer and the occasional timber wolf or moose can all be seen more frequently in March.  Its also a great time to view properties before the spring season heats up!  Check out Rainy Lake this March for a wonderful winter experience!
