Final funding has been received from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to complete the $17 million dollar sewer project to the end of HWY 11 east of International Falls.  Of the $17 Million, involved property owners (approx 200)  will be required to add $3.5 Million through assessments.  Parcels with no buildings that are within 300 feet of the sewer corridor will likely also have to pay something to support the sewer project.   The full story can be read in the Saturday, February 13th issue of the International Falls Journal.   While no mention has been made of a Rainy Lake  island sewer collection system as of yet,  it is likely the issue will be addressed after completion of the Island View sewer project.
